The fourth Global Group Mind Meditation took
place on Sunday November 26. Matthew Webb made a general prediction, or
rather a description of the timecourse of the meditations, in a note on
the World Mind Society Discussion Forum.
"... even in the case of electronic
measurement of consciousness-field shifts, I think we are going to
witness an "upward curve" as well. As we have discussed before, I
think the period of approximately 15-40 minutes after the meditations
have begun, will continue to be the best time for your statistical
measurement."
This will be the prediction for GMM 4, and the standard time for
our predictions in an ongoing series. After GMM 4, in order to keep the
formal database reasonably balanced, the regular bi-monthly meditations will be
placed in the exploratory category, and no longer be included in the
formal database. Beyond the issue of balance, it appears that the
signature of the GMM events is fairly consistent, with a tendency to
smaller than expected Chisquare. This is opposite to the trend, and
hence diminishes the overall cumulative effect in proportion to the
number of events.
The prediction corresponds to 23:15 to 23:40 UTC,
and the specified 25 minute period has
Chisquare of 1459.9 on 1500 df, for a p of 0.766, a moderate negative
deviation.
The first figure shows the 25 minutes alone, and the second shows the 25
minute period in the context of an hour's data.
