On Sat, 27 Mar 2004, Mahadeva (Chino) Srinivasan wrote to suggest that the
cricket match between India and Pakistan should be of interest to the
EGG network:
The final of the five match India Pakistan One-day cricket series
was played on Wed 24th March during 2.30 PM to 10.30 PM Indian
standard time. At that point India and Pakistan were 2-2. So it
generated intense interest both in India and Pakistan. It was Telecast
world wide. President Mussharaff was there in person at Lahore.
Over a billion people watched it. Of course India won it. I feel
you should analyse the Indian EGGS to see if you picked up
anything there.
Following my usual procedure, the formal prediction was set for
all eggs, with a subsidiary analysis
of the two eggs in India for comparison. I used the times provided by
Chino, which translate to the period 09:00 to 17:00 GMT.
The first graph following shows all eggs. Chisquare is 29108.895
on 28800 df, with p = 0.099. The second graph shows eggs 114 and
1026, in Chennai and Bangalore respectively. The pattern of the data
is quite similar, suggesting all eggs might be similarly affected,
though we know from other experience that there is great variation
among the eggs.
